Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-07-31

These terms govern your use of PapaCoder Labs (the “site”). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

The service

PapaCoder Labs publishes software engineering articles and related tools (reading, search, optional comments). Much of the drafting pipeline is AI-assisted; humans review and approve what is published. Content may change as topics evolve.

Accounts and comments

Some features require signing in (for example GitHub OAuth for comments). You are responsible for activity under your account and for the content you submit.

By posting a comment you grant PapaCoder Labs a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, moderate, and distribute that content on the site. You keep ownership of your words; we need the licence to show them.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Post illegal, harassing, hateful, or spam content.
  • Share malware, attempt to break into systems, or overload the service.
  • Scrape the site in a way that harms availability or violates robots rules we publish.
  • Impersonate others or post personal data about someone else without a lawful basis.

We may edit, hide, or remove comments and may suspend accounts that break these rules.

Intellectual property

Site branding, layout, and our original articles are owned by PapaCoder Labs or used under licence. You may quote short excerpts with attribution for non-commercial commentary. Do not republish full articles without permission. Third-party names and logos belong to their owners.

No warranty

Content is for information and education. Code samples and technical guidance are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Always verify before using ideas or code in production. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by New Zealand law, PapaCoder Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the site or reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Privacy

How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy and Cookies pages.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the “Last updated” date will change when we do. Questions: Contact.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Courts in New Zealand have non-exclusive jurisdiction, without limiting any non-waivable consumer protections that apply where you live.
